Fees & Appointments

A counselling session is for 1 hour on an appointment by appointment basis, usually weekly in the beginning.

Each session costs £45 per hour. This fee includes the 1 hour spent with the client as well as time spent outside the session for preparation and taking notes.

Please note: A minimum of 24 hours notice is required for cancelling sessions otherwise the full fee is payable.

Evening appointments are available on a Tuesday and Wednesday.

“I wish I’d come earlier” is a common phrase I hear. If you’re nervous or unsure about whether counselling/ psychotherapy is for you I do offer a free, no strings-attached, initial meeting – see below.

I offer an initial meeting of 30 minutes, free of charge, so that both the client and I can decide together if this is the right choice for them; provide an opportunity for the client to ask any questions or voice any concerns; and to ensure that both parties feel comfortable working together.

I offer counselling/ psychotherapy via telephone and Skype as well as face to face.

Availability

Appointments take place on Tuesdays and Wednesdays between 9.30am and 7pm (last appointment slot is 6pm).

What is the difference between counselling and psychotherapy?

Location

My practice is in Alvaston, Derby which is easily accessible from the A50, A52 and M1 and within easy reach if travelling from Nottingham, Long Eaton, Leicestershire, Burton-on-Trent as well as Derby.

My therapy room is on the ground floor in a confidential setting.

There is parking available on the drive and on the road. My practice is within easy walking distance from a regular and frequent bus service.
