I am a BACP Accredited Counsellor / Psychotherapist, Supervisor, Coach and Sacred Space Holder with 25 years’ experience of working therapeutically with clients. I opened my private practice in 2003.
I also have over 20 years’ experience in the education and business sector. During this time, I progressed from being an assessor, teacher and course writer, to becoming a key part of the management team, a director and overseeing the organisation’s staff training and development, quality assurance, and course production.
I continue to develop my private practice in a variety of ways always following what inspires and interests me with a life-time goal of making a living doing what I love.
I am a down to earth, sensitive and warm person with a great sense of humour. I aspire always to be professional, ethical and to maintain high standards of practice. My extensive hands-on business experience, brings an unusual degree of practicality to my practice and provides a good counter-balance to my sensitive, intuitive and deeply spiritual side.
I am inspired by and curious about so many things – people, alternative ways of life, neuroscience, philosophy, psychology, alchemy, nature, spirituality, holistic therapies to name but a few and as I continue to learn, develop and evolve so does my practice. I have come to realise that my practice is the culmination of my life and work experiences that is ever changing and ever expanding.
I’ve also come to realise that, whilst external sources can be useful, interesting and point you in the right direction, they can also be a diversion and distraction. Nothing transcends the innate wisdom within.
“There are hundreds of paths up the mountain, all leading to the same place, so it doesn’t matter which path you take. The only person wasting time is the one who runs around the mountain, telling everyone that his or her path is wrong.” Hindu Proverb
